Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is running around with “the sky is falling” Green New Deal proposals and telling us all how we need to change our lives because of CO2. Actually, if she were running around it would be better. However, she’s flying to work and apparently has never thought to obtain a Re-usable Shopping Bag.

Last weekend, the New York Post published a story about Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s extensive use of Uber and Lyft and her penchant for flying over taking the train. The article raised the question of whether the sponsor of the Green New Deal, which calls for “a full transition off fossil fuels and zero greenhouse gases” in the next decade as well as plans to “totally overhaul transportation by massively expanding electric vehicle manufacturing, build charging stations everywhere, build out high-speed rail,” is a hypocrite.

When asked by a reporter at the airport why not the train? She said it saved ” A couple hours of my constituents time” Does she realize she doesn’t have to punch in to be at work, and can still answer emails and manage her office remotely while she rides the train alongside her constituents. Maybe even have face to face communications with the actual people?

Oddly enough this is a bit like an onion with more hypocrisies within. Let’s not forget AOC’s views on Taxis and how unregulate Uber, Lift and others are hurting the working cabbie. Yet she uses Uber? OK, I’m not going to pile on, her hypocrisy is well documented.

To be honest I understand the trade off’s to not living fossil fuel free. However, if you tell me we’re down to our last canteen of water and we need to sip instead of gulp. I would think that means both of us.

Looking at peoples actions as opposed to their words is often quite revealing.
